The Edge Guide Guarantees Perfect 1/4″ Seams
Bernina Patchwork foot 57 with guide differs from Bernina Patchwork foot 37 only in that it has a built-in seam guide along the right edge of the foot. It is therefore particularly suitable for patchwork projects with 1/4” or 1/8” seam allowances. Other precision sewing techniques requiring a perfectly straight seam also benefit from the use of Bernina Patchwork foot 57 with guide. Here, the edge guide is placed directly against the fabric edge or seam line to yield straight spacings and lines when sewing.
A further improvement has been made on this aftermarket foot as the guide has a base designed not to fall into the feed dog hole on 9mm models and get stuck which happens with the Bernina made 57 foot. Includes instructions.
